Surplus Property Auctions

Florida State University's Property Accounting Services conducts surplus sales, in a live auction format, several times each year. These sales are generally held six times per year, usually on the first Saturday of every even month. Items offered include computers, electronics, furniture, office equipment, scientific equipment and vehicles. To see a complete listing of the assets currently available, check out the current categorized listing.

Items are located and sales take place at the FSU surplus warehouse at 1801 Roberts Avenue (map).

Assets may be viewed any working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the FSU Surplus Warehouse. Items may also be viewed on the Thursday and Friday immediately before surplus sales. The warehouse is closed to University departments the week prior to the sale and the following Monday.

High bidders can checkout and pay at anytime during the auction (cash, personal check, or money order, no credit cards), with pick-up due by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the auction. The pick-up of purchased items can be delayed until the Monday following the auction by making arrangements with the Surplus staff, but payment must still be made on the day of the sale as soon as you bid on your last item. (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Payment is due as soon as you bid on your last item or no later than when the auctioneer has sold the last item. Items are offered AS IS, WHERE IS, with NO GUARANTEES implied or made. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. When assets are removed from the seller and handed to the buyer the sale is final. Buyers should verify their receipt against the property being received before leaving the sale.

SPECIAL NOTE: Any FSU department may acquire surplus assets at no cost before the auction. The last day for departments to acquire surplus assets is always ten days prior to the day of the surplus sale.
